And one of them is Uluru Ayers rock.
Uluru/Ayers Rock, popularly known as Uluru, is massive triangular sandstone in central Australia. This sandstone stands at 346 meters high and more than 8 km or 5 miles around. It stretched over 2 miles in length and nearly 2 miles in width.

Historically, according Aboriginal myth, it is believed to have been formed by the activities of ancestral beings in creation time. Specifically, due to a particular war or bloodshed that ensured secondary to a feast stood-up in which two tribes of ancestral spirits were invited to, but distracted by beautiful Sleepy Lizard Women which they dallied with at a waterhole. Subsequent to this, the feast-host, due to disappointment, sang evil song into a mud sculpture and this eventually metamorphosed into dingo, a baby-caring wild dog that resulted in: great battle, deaths of tribe elders and germination of Uluru, Ayers rock.

This rock is sacred to the Anangus and other Aborigines in the region. Uluru-area Anangu has two different language groups, the Yankunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara. Uluru is not only about rock alone but: caves, fissures, cliffs, waterholes, ancient rock paintings, leave paintings rituals, etc. The main path up to the summit of the rock is the traditional route taken by aboriginal ancestors upon their arrival at Uluru in the creation time.
Various outcrops represent different ancestral spirits, and by touching the rock, an Aborigine can invoke the spirits for blessings and communicate with Dream time.

About 25 km away from Uluru there is another sacred rock known as Kata Tjuta or the Olgas which means a rock with many heads. This is apart from the Aboriginal community of Mutitjulu near the western end of Uluru, about 17 km away from another Arboriginal tourist town of Yulara. It is advisable to climb this rock with care as many deaths have resulted.
