BRIEF DESCRIPTION
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO/CARNIVAL/PARADE: Trinidad and Tobago, generally, as a nation is officially known as Republic of Trinidad and Tobago or an archipelagic state. It is made up of two Islands, and both lie on the southern part of Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Venezuela and south of Grenada in the Lesser Antilles.
This two Islands are the cultural "hot spot" of Caribbean. Yearly parade/carnival is common to this part of the world. Specifically,on Tuesday before Ash Wednesday every year. It is one of the major tourist attractions in Caribbean Islands and greatest shows on the planet.
It is characterized by: Parades, music, Costumes, limbo competitions, stick fighting etc. Apart from Caribbean celebration, Caribana carnivals also take place in some Countries like; America, Canada, Brazil etc. In 2013, in Trinidad and Tobago, the Carnival is expected to take place on February 11& February 12. And in 2014, March 3 &March 4. Spectators are expected to confirm changes with the right authority.
Trinidad is larger and more populous than Tobago. It occupies an average area of about 1,841 square miles in the southernmost part of Caribbean. It is the fifth largest island in West Indies and located at about 11kilometer off the cost of Venezuela.
The landforms include: Dinah ranges—consisting of: the Northern, Central and Southern Ranges amongst many others. Tobago is smaller. It is located in the southeastern part of Grenada. It lies outside the hurricane belt of Caribbean. Both shares maritime boundaries with other nations like: Barbados, Guyana, and Venezuela.
