BRIEF DESCRIPTION BRAZIL AS A HOST OF BLOCO DA LAMA Bloco da lama, historically developed in Paraty, Brazil few days before Carnival in 1986.And since then has becomes one of the adrenaline Charged event of the year. Brazil, as a nation, is one of the South American Cultural countries. It is officially known as Federative Republic of Brazil and it the largest lusophone country in the world. Its land and water area are about 8,514,876.599 km2 [3,287,612 sq miles] and 55,455 km2 [21,411 sq miles] respectively. The coastline covers an area of about 7,491 km [4,655 miles] and the country population is about 192 million. It is bordered in the north by Guyana, Venezuela, Suriname and French Guiana. The western border is Bolivia and Peru, while that of northwest is Colombia. The Southern part is Uruguay. And the southwest part is Argentina and Paraguay. Brazil is the 5th largest country in the world, after United States, Russia, Canada, and China. The Brazilians brown population is called pardo. Brazilian topography is diverse, so also its climate. The topography consists of: hills, mountains, plains, highlands, and scrub lands along which the climate is distributed. Roman Catholicism is the country's predominant faith, though, Protestantism, particularly Pentecostal and/or Evangelical Protestantism, seems to be expanding. Culture of Brazil is predominantly influenced by Portuguese culture. They introduced Portuguese language, Roman Catholicism, colonial architectural styles amongst many others. Another important influence is the African indigenous group and non-Portuguese European cultures and traditions. Brazilian art are multifarious and multidimensional. Prominent amongst them are Baroque, Romanticism, Cubism, Surrealism, Modernism, Expressionism and Abstractionism. In terms of tourism, its potentials are vast. And this is due to; the complex rivers systems as seen in Amazon, bio-diversities, floras, faunas, variety of animals, plants, microorganisms, ecosystems, mammals, freshwater fish, 50 000 species of trees, shrubs, livestock, forestry, fishing extraction etc. And in a special way, Cultural events like Rio Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, Bloco dalama in Paraty and many other cultural events in Brazil are of great value in shaping Brazil`s economy.
