BRIEF DISCRIPTIONS

Thanksgiving Day is a United States national holiday observed annually on the fourth Thursday of every November. It encompasses and accommodates both religious and secular aspects of humanity by serving as both harvest festival and a festival of family. Some believes Thanksgiving origin is traceable to the first harvest celebration held by Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians in Plymouth, Massachusetts in November 26, 1621. The national Thanksgiving Day was made official in 1863 amidst Civil War by President  Abraham Lincoln. In New York, the celebration is characterized by family get-together, Macys Parades, celebrations, Performances, bands, floats, spectators, colorful processions etc.
